Claude (Anthropic) is embedded into EVL in two ways — as a build partner and as a live AI engine on the Compare page.

🔧 Build Partner Claude writes, edits, and deploys all code directly to GitHub → Vercel via API token. No developer needed. Every page on the site was built this way — HTML, CSS, JS, API routes, all of it.
📋 P&P Integration Policies & Procedures are fed into Claude as context in each session. Claude applies EVL rules (no delivery without payment, 72hr timeline, deposit structure) automatically. Every customer flow, authorization language, and disclosure was written by Claude using EVL P&P as the foundation.
💡 BBP / BITOP Best Business Practices and Best In Theory, Optimal Practice — Claude references the EVL journal and blueprint to keep all builds aligned with the business model. Pricing logic, deal sequencing, trade card structure, WS exchange flow — all built to BBP spec.
⚡ Live AI Engine The Compare page calls Claude Sonnet via api/compare.js — a Vercel serverless function — in real time. Vehicle comparisons, trim breakdowns, cost of ownership — all powered by Claude on demand.
📖 Session Memory Claude retains EVL build history across sessions via the project memory system and past conversation search. No need to re-explain the business — Claude picks up exactly where we left off every session.

Every dealer card in ws-hub.html's DEALER_DATA array follows this 9-role contact roster, locked in to avoid a retrofit pass later. New entries start with all 9 slots (placeholder phone/cell/ext where real names aren't yet known); existing entries get retrofitted as we touch them.

🗺️ Dealer Hub — Statewide Coverage Criteria — LOCKED (Jun 16, 2026)

Texas template scope expanded beyond DFW + Houston. Geographic completeness across Central, South, and West Texas confirmed — no metro is excluded by population size. EVL is a digital, largely automated platform; the marginal cost of adding one more dealer card is low, so size/location-based exclusion isn't necessary or desired.

  • EVL is a technology and advisory platform — not a dealer. EVL never takes title to any vehicle at any point in any transaction.
  • EVL never holds inventory, never purchases vehicles for resale, and never acts as a principal in any buy/sell transaction.
  • EVL coordinates, facilitates, and earns service fees — the same model as a real estate broker, an escrow company, or a technology marketplace.
  • In Texas, a dealer license is required only when buying and selling vehicles in your own name for profit — taking title, holding inventory, and reselling. EVL does none of these.

🤝 WS Dealer-to-Dealer Settlement P&P — No Escrow (Locked Jun 14, 2026)

Replaces the old $150 escrow / $75-$75 split model for WS auction winners. "Express" = speed. Direct dealer-to-dealer settlement, standard wholesale paperwork, no third-party holding funds or title. EVL's platform fee is invoiced separately (same pattern as the $199 BD Submit fee) — never part of the vehicle transaction.

TERMINOLOGY NOTE

On the WS Exchange side: ID = the dealer who currently holds the unit being auctioned (source/seller — same role as {{source_dealer}} in templates). BD = Bidding Dealer, the winning buyer. Note: this differs from the retail-side definition of ID (Issuing Dealer = delivers a replacement vehicle to the customer) — same letters, different context, kept separate intentionally.

MINIMUM CONDITION STANDARD (ONE RULE SET, NATIONWIDE)

Windshield: any crack/chip inside the wiper-swept area = flagged. Outside that area, chips under ~1" = acceptable.
Lenses (head/tail/brake/turn): must be uncracked and intact. Light color must match position (red rear/brake, amber turn, white front) — clear housings with correctly-colored LEDs are fine.
Dash: photo with engine running; any illuminated warning light flagged/disclosed on BOL, doesn't auto-fail.
Conservative enough to pass inspection in the strictest state in the network — removes "well my state allows it" disputes entirely.

⚠️ WIRE FRAUD MITIGATION — BUILD FROM DAY ONE

BD and ID often meet for the first time via EVL — classic Business Email Compromise target (fraudulent wire instructions sent via intercepted email). Mitigation: EVL displays each dealer's verified banking/wire info directly on the platform (captured at onboarding), so BD's business office confirms wire details against EVL's record — never solely from an emailed packet.
